Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) is the biggest university in Greece. Named after the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, AUTH was founded originally in 1926. Located in the center of Thessaloniki, has 90.000 under- and post-graduate students and 4000 teaching and administrative staff members. Highly recognized internationally, participates in more than 35 international academic associations, and has collaboration contracts with more than 1400 Universities worldwide.
The Department of Electrical Energy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki covers the cognitive subject of sources and technology (conventional, nuclear and renewable forms) of electrical energy production, electro-mechanical energy conversion, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, high-voltage technology, electrical economics, electrical engineering materials and power electronics.
