Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) is the biggest university in Greece. Named after the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle, AUTH was founded originally in 1926. The Department of Electrical Energy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki covers the cognitive subject of sources and technology (conventional, nuclear and renewable forms) of electrical energy production, electro-mechanical energy conversion, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, high-voltage technology, electrical economics, electrical engineering materials and power electronics.
